Australia’s universities are home to some of the brightest minds in the world, consistently generating breakthroughs that can transform industries, address societal challenges, and improve lives both here and globally.
Collaborations between universities, businesses, and industries are critical to transforming innovative research into tangible solutions that address real-world challenges.
That's why AEA is supporting the translation and commercialisation of Australia's world-leading research. AEA funds projects that align with national priorities, helping to take innovative ideas from proof-of-concept and proof-of-scale as they progress towards commercialisation and the creation of new jobs, services and businesses.
With AEA, university researchers can drive commercially focused projects that attract confident industry investment, creating a pathway from the lab to the marketplace.
University researchers supported by an AEA grant will collaborate with industry to:
- accelerate commercialising research outcomes
- develop new technologies/innovations that tackle industry challenges.
